Description

The contractor selected shall provide distance learning tools in support of the ISC�s distance learning program.� ICASS is used by over 105,000 USG employees working for over 45 USG Departments and Agencies in 170 countries.� Many users of the system are Locally Employed Staff who do not have English as their first language.� The desired outcome is to improve work performance and efficiencies through learning how the ICASS system functions. ����TASKS Specific work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Designing, publishing and maintaining ISC distance learning tools that will be readily and easily accessible to a wide range of users located worldwide.� These tools, varying in length from five minutes to approximately 45 minutes, will be used primarily as learning and reference aids for both customers and service providers who depend on the ICASS shared administrative platform.� Content of the tools will be based on input from SMEs at the ISC and will be made available to end users from ISC websites, both internet and intranet.� An interactive quiz will be included in each tool. Creating distance learning tools using technologies and applications that allow for easy access over the Internet, even in areas of limited bandwidth, by users having a standard desk top (Microsoft suite) configuration without any need for software installation by the user.� Achieving 508 compliance for each distance learning tool by demonstrating compliance with Section 508 via third party certification or as determined by Department of State 508 compliance SMEs. Reviewing and updating each tool annually. Developing a system to provide usage data including, but not limited to, number of times each tool is accessed, location of users, whether the quiz was completed, and quiz results. It is understood that such systems are generally known as Learning Management Systems (LMS), which may include a separate licensing component to allow access to quizzes and to record completion.
