Description

PMIS 313350 REPAIR DAVIS BAYOU FIVE (5) BLDGS - HURRICANE ZETA (LI 00010) AND PMIS 313368 MARINA COMFORT STATION - HURRICANE ZETA (LI 00020) GULF ISLANDS NATIONAL SEAHORE, DAVIS BAYOU AREA OCEAN SPRINGS, JACKSON COUNTY, MS MAGNITUDE: A single, firm fixed price construction contract worth an estimated price range between $100,000 and $250,000 SCOPE: Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete REPAIRS on Oil Storage Shed (MS18), Boat Dock Office (MS19), John Boat House (MS22), Hazardous Material Storage #1 and #2, and Marina Restroom (MS25) Hurricane Zeta made landfall just west of Gulf Islands National Seashore Mississippi District. Storm surge of 13 feet inundated the Park unit causing flood damage, debris and fallen trees. This project proposes to make repairs to several buildings in the Davis Bayou area as a result of Hurricane Zeta. The buildings are as follows: Oil Storage Shed (MS18) Remove and replace 3' x 7' commercial grade exterior steel door and frame with stainless steel hardware and heavy-duty handles, closure and latch shield Remove and replace 3' x 3' single hung, double insulated impact resistant window (3' x 3'replace 2"" x 6"" wood frame bucks Remove and repair 15 SF roof decking, shingles and drip edge. Remove and replace 5' of 1"" x 8"" fascia board Inspect and replace damaged electrical components Replace (2) alarm system keypads (must be compliant with current system) Inspect and repair damaged (Veeder-Root) fuel meter counter Gov't Boat Dock Office (MS19) Remove and replace Electric panels and outlets Remove and replace (3) 3' x 4' single hung, double insulated impact resistant window (36' x 52"" x �""); replace 2"" x 6"" wood frame bucks Remove and replace 8' �"" x 8', 4 panel roll up door and hardware Remove and replace 3' x 7' commercial grade exterior steel door and frame with stainless steel hardware and heavy-duty handles, closure and latch shield Remove and replace interior wood framed (2"" x 4"" studs) wall (18' x 9' �""); Finish both sides with mold resistant drywall (~342 SF) Insulate with R-12 insulation (~342 SF) Paint new framed wall with mold and mildew resistant latex paint and primer John Boat House (MS22) Replace ~400 SF cement siding board (estimated 20' x 3' section on Visitor Center side, 20' x 7' on sound side and 20' x 10' on sound/VC side Replace exterior steel 80"" x 36"" double door and frame with hardware and heavy duty handles, latch guard and closures. Replace and completely wire electric panel with 24 slot Stainless Steel sealed panel Inspect and replace damaged electrical components and boat lift switches (estimated 14 outlets, 2 light switches and 2 boat lift switches) Hazardous Material Storage #1 and #2 Remove and replace with new unit bolted to existing concrete pad Davis Bayou Marina Restroom (Comfort Station) (MS25) * Roll up door replacement * Interior/exterior door replacement * Removing and replacing sinks * Partition installation * Masonry wall placement and finishing * Caulking and painting * Removal and proper disposal off site of waste created in the demolition and repair process. * Cleaning and prepping interior surfaces to remove any mold/mildew before application of any paint, sealant, wallboard, flooring, or subflooring.
