- Description
- The contractor shall successfully deliver an on-site, Trench Rescue Technician certification course. Class will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006, Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, current edition. Course is required to address the NFPA 1670 competencies at the technician level for trench rescue. This requirement supports Security and Emergency Services, Fire and Emergency Services efforts for members to remain proficient in technical rescue operations including gaining access to patients entrapped and confined in trench and excavation sites. Employees need to be trained to and certified to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006, Standard for Technical Rescue Professional Qualifications Trench Technician level. The Fire and Emergency Services primary mission is to save lives. Training will be held at DLA Distribution Center at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The training shall be provided to a maximum of 40 employees of DLA Installation Management Susquehanna.
