Description

The proposed contract number will be awarded on a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) action to: Biomerieux, Inc. 100 RODOLPHE ST DURHAM, NC 27712-9402 Description of Services or Supplies: is to establish a contract for analyzers, equipment and reagents required to perform automated mass spectrometry rapid microbiology identification testing; automated antimicrobial susceptibility testing; automated biochemical identification testing; and blood culture monitoring. All equipment (to include instrument/equipment/(s)), reagents, consumables, controls, and any necessary services (e.g., maintenance of furnished equipment) to conduct testing under a Cost per-Test (CPT) Agreement in which contractor will provide only reagents compatible with government equipment). All equipment and reagents/consumables to conduct testing for automated mass spectrometry rapid microbiology identification, automated antimicrobial susceptibility, and automated biochemical microbial identification shall be supplied and serviced through the contractor to include all parts, equipment, supplies, and other services required to ensure BJACH is able to meet its objectives as listed herein. This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.� The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.� The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only. NOTE: INTERESTED VENDORS, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE ON OR BEFORE 7 JUNE 2021.
