Description

This is a notice of intent to award a Brand Name sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland intends to award a Firm- Fixed Price sole source contract to Ludlum Measurements, Inc., (Cage Code 23609). � The USA PUBLIC HEALTH COMMAND requires Ludlum general purpose, multi-purpose survey meter. The survey instruments locate contamination or detect radioactive material. APHC �has been tasked with the current requirement needed to replace end of cycle equipment and ensure the Radiologic Advisory Management Team (RAMT) has sufficient equipment to meet mission needs. The RAMT has also taken on additional support missions and will require the requested equipment to fulfill the extra demand. This equipment provides direct support of the Health Physics Division�s mission to verify Army and Federal regulatory compliance throughout the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Army enterprises. The requirements should include the following: Qty.1. LUDLUM MODEL 12 General Purpose Ratemeter Qty. 4. LUDLUM MODEL 3001-2 RK W/44-2, -9. Ludlum Measurements, INC, is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). �The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334519. Posting date of this requirement is 2 June 2021. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 8 June 2021. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis for the required services.
