Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit and award a fixed price award, on a sole source basis to Clarus Fluid Intelligence, LLC (Clarus) (CAGE 4GXV0), in Bellingham, WA for an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP), for the procurement of all testing and development leading to the production of three (3) operator interface panel (OIP) validation/verification retrofitkits, drawings/schematics/photos, installation/removal instructions and source data for Tech Manuals, and Pre-Operational Cards, all for Agitated Solvent Parts Washer (ASPW) p/n PCS-10 (NSN 4920-01-572-9921). The ASPW is used for cleaning corrosion-sensitive components such as aircraft wheel bearing assemblies and aircraft engine components. The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.""� Clarus is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the ASPW unit.� Clarus is the only firm with the knowledge and expertise of the ASPW unit architecture, test requirements, and system components. The government does not possess the necessary technical data to compete the ECP. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals.� However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Responses stating interest must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
