- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: IV Compounding Workstations Announcement No.: 36C24621Q0683 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price, delivery order for 9 commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) IV compounding workflow workstations and accessories for Durham VAMC. These workstations are part of a system that incorporates integrated barcode scanning, gravimetric or volumetric verification, advanced image recognition, photo documentation, and label printing. The total estimated value is $741,374.35. Market research has been conducted and it has been found that Omnicell s IVX workstations will tie into Durham VAMC s existing equipment and software. Currently Durham VAMC pharmacy and staff are using Omnicell cabinets, automated central pharmacy system, and analytics software. This procurement seeks to standardize Omnicell systems within the Durham VAMC. A sources sought notice was published on 5/14/2021 and closed on 5/19/2021. This notice failed to identify a compatible system. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the Durham VAMC. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is not a request for quote or proposals. Questions or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed to Contracting Specialist, Isaac Hernandez at Isaac.Hernandez@va.gov (no phone calls/voice mail messages regarding questions will be accepted and will not receive a response). Please indicate in the subject of your email: Notice of Intent Question Submission 36C24621Q0683.
