Description

Edwards AFB, CA intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to GLENAIR, INC. 1211 IR WAY, GLENDALE, CA, 91201-2405, to provide required supplies. The anticipated contract will be a commercial firm-fixed Price (FFP) contract. The required items are as follows: (QTY 10) Specialized Bulkhead Feed-Through Connector FA07821-120 The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b). The applicable NAICS code is 333319 and the size standard, as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is 750 employees. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Quote (RFQ) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government.� THIS IS NOT AN RFQ AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The AFTC has appointed an Ombudsman to hear concerns from potential offerors relating to this acquisition.� The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.� When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.� The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather the Contracting Officer identified below.
