Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE UNITS 1-2 GENERATOR STATOR REWIND BEAVER POWER PLANT W9127S21R0006, Units 1-2 Generator Stator Rewind at the Beaver Power Plant, will be advertised using Full and Open Competition under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing. The small business size standard is set at 1,250 employees. This solicitation will be issued�utilizing FAR Part 15�as a Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposals will be evaluated via the Best Value � Trade Off method and will result in a firm fixed-price construction contract. The Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The requirement being procured under this solicitation includes both electrical and mechanical work. The electrical scope of work includes replacement of the stator cores and windings and accessories to include design, manufacture, shop test, and deliver two complete set of stator cores and stator core clamping systems, two complete sets of stator coils, and all accessories. Unit rotor work includes cleaning, inspecting, and testing the rotors. At the option of the Government, work would include re-insulating rotor poles. The mechanical scope of work includes performing operational wet and dry testing, removing bearings and interferences to perform and document alignment checks, disassembling and inspecting generating unit to perform rewind, replacing the coolers, refurbishing the bearings, replacing high-pressure lift system, furnishing and installing machine condition monitoring system, reassembling and aligning generating units, and performing tests and commissioning the rewound units. W9127S21R0006 will be issued around June 8, 2021, via Government Point of Entry (GPE), www.sam.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be issued via the GPE as well. It is each offeror�s responsibility to download the solicitation and monitor the site for updates.
