- Description
- Agency/Office: Army Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal (ACC?DTA) Title: Special Notice GVS OTA, W15QKN?17?9?1025 Task Request 18, Prototyping of an Adaptive and Collaborative Approach to support future DoD Vehicle Protection Systems Description: The Government intends to issue Task Request (TR) 18 for the Prototyping of an Adaptive and Collaborative Approach to support future DoD Vehicle Protection Systems (VPS) to National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) under the Ground Vehicle Systems (GVS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), W15QKN?17?9?1025. The GVS OTA was entered into between the Army Contracting Command (ACC) and the NAMC under the authority of 10 USC 2371b on 26 September 2017, in support of Ground Vehicle System related Research and Development prototype projects. The Government will utilize the GVS OTA to award this effort. The efforts for TR18 will include, but are not limited to, adding additional vehicle survivability capabilities towards adaptive and collaborative protection including active, passive, and reactive technologies (any vehicle platform); advancing the state of the VPS industry base by opening up the VPS marketplace to subsystem developers, which will enable them to have input to the Governments VPS Prototype Approach to develop aligned and compliant subsystems that could be acquired in the future. The anticipated period of performance is four years. The Government does not intend to pursue a Follow?on Production effort under the authority of 10 USC 2371b(f) for this effort. NOTE: This Special Notice is for informational purposes only. A prototype project will not be awarded in response to this announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide industry advanced notification of the Governments intent to release a Task Request to the NAMC.
