- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for LCP Instructor Program for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Milan located at 4004 East Arkona Rd., Milan, MI 48160. �The contracted institution must possess documentation showing they are a recognized accredited college.� The contractor (junior college) will provide four (4) instructors for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Milan, Michigan.� One of the four instructors will teach two of the classes.� Ordinarily, classes will be limited to 17 inmates each. There will be a total of 5 classes that will be conducted twice per year.� Each class has a different number of sessions, but the total amount of sessions for all classes will be approximately 284 per year.� Contracted instructors shall provide instruction for inmates who are active participants in the Residential Faith-Based Program. The classes may include, but are not limited to, Managing Emotions, Interpersonal Skills, Job Skills, Creative Writing, as well as other therapeutic classes such as Art, Crafts, Drama, etc.� The Chaplin will give more details on classes upon award.� �The contracted instructor provided must have at minimum of a Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university.� It is preferred, but not required, that the contractors have a minimum of three years working in a correctional environment.� The instructors will be an integral part of FCI Milan�s Life Connections Program (LCP) and will provide onsite instruction to inmates in the Life Connections Program Unit.� The contractors will work closely with the Chaplain Program Manager and other staff to assist in the development of the program and to gauge the progress of individual participants.� Consultations will be held with the Chaplain Program Manager as needed. Work hours will normally be between the hours of 10:00 AM � 4:00 PM Monday thru Friday excluding Federal Holidays.� The schedule may include evening hours based on program needs. Specific dates and times of sessions will be determined locally.� Due to the nature of the correctional setting, delays in performance of work may be expected.� More details are within the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about May 21, 2021 and will be distributed solely through the SAMs website at https://beta.sam.gov/. �All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. �The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about June 18, 2021. Faith-Based and Community-Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Insert the clause FAR 52.204-13, System for Award Management Maintenance, in solicitations that contain the provision at 52.204-7, and resulting contracts. This clause requires all contractors doing business with the federal government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database at https://beta.sam.gov/.� Contractors should include their Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number in their offers. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award by entering the potential awardees DUNS number into the SAM database. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611210 with a small business size standard of $22 million.
