- Description
- This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the National Park Service, Olympic National Park. Contractor will Supply, installation, finish (level 4) and texture (light orange peel) of gypsum wallboard within three (3) new construction buildings (office and two fee booths/kiosks) at the Heart O' The Hills Entrance on Hurricane Ridge Road. Scope includes 5/8"", type X on all walls and ceilings. The approximate quantities are 1,805 square feet of walls and 675 square feet of ceiling. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED and telephone requests, email requests, or fax requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. The full solicitation package (Standard Form 1442 and all associated attachments) is available in BetaSAM at https://beta.sam.gov/content/home. BetaSAM replaced FedBizOpps. Once at the home page, click on ""Contract Opportunities."" Type in the solicitation number 140P8321Q0032 into the field for ""Search Contract Opportunities"" then hit the ""enter"" key on your keyboard. The solicitation n page should open. If you have trouble, contact the Contracting Officer by email or phone. PRE-QUOTE SITE VISIT. An organized pre-quote site is scheduled for all interested parties on Wednesday June 9th at 1pm (PST). Interested parties shall RSVP directly to Phaedra Fuller, Contracting Officer, either by office phone at 360-565-3009 or by email to Phaedra_Fuller@nps.gov. When you RSVP, please include your company name and provide a point of contact name with phone number and email address, and RSVP by June 8th. Attendees shall meet at the Olympic National Park Visitor Center first, and then we'll figure out best way to get up to the Heart O' Hills Entrance Station to see the site, which has limited parking and access due to current construction. The visitor center address is 3002 Mount Angeles Road, Port Angeles, WA 98362. Brad Metler, who will be appointed as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) after award, along with the Phaedra Fuller, Contracting Officer, will provide a site walk and talk about the project, note and answer any questions. However, if answers cannot be provided during the site visit, then they will be noted, and answered in the site visit notes that will be posted as a separate attachment to the solicitation, as an amendment to the solicitation within a few days of the site visit. If questions arise immediately after the site visit, please send them in writing by email to Phaedra Fuller, Contracting Officer (email Phaedra_Fuller@nps.gov). It is strongly encouraged that anyone interested in potentially submitting a quote for this project, attend the site visit. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. NOTE: Face masks required for all non-vaccinated individuals attending the site visit. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE. The government will award the contract in June 2021. The performance period for this contract is restricted to August 2 through September 30, 2021. During this time, the contractor shall be ready to begin work within 2-weeks advance notice. NOTE: Contractor will need to send the product submittals for materials as soon as possible upon receiving the Notice of Award letter, as a means of mitigating potentially long lead times in obtaining the gypsum board and other project materials in time to start work August 2nd. OTHER INFO. This project is being solicited and awarded as a total (100%) Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238310, Drywall Contractors, with an associated small business size standard of $16.5 million. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This magnitude range is required in accordance with FAR 36.204 and is not the Government's estimate. A single firm-fixed price construction contract will be awarded as a result of the solicitation.
