Page 3 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter a sole source procurement for an NDNQI Subscription for the (613) Washington DC VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC 20422. FAR13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items: The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). Far Part 13.501(a) Sole Source (including brand name) acquisitions The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to: Company Name: PRESS GANEY Address: 404 COLUMBIA STREET, SOUTH BEND, IN 46601 Phone: 800-232-8032 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (541644) and the Business Size Standard is $16.5 Million. It is the Government s belief that the hospital Operates 24 hours day and 7 days week. The subscription to be purchased consists of contracting for the use of a web-based reporting system that allows the Washington DC VAMC to report nursing quality measures, compare analyzed results to national benchmarks, and participate in an annual nursing survey. Press Ganey shall ensure the subscription is operational as described herein to the Washington DC VAMC, acquired during the contract period as soon as possible (no later than 30 Days ARO). Estimated cost is $8,281.00 for the base (1st) year with 4 option years available. The estimated award date is on or before (06/01/2021). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 15:00hrs Eastern Time 05/25/2021. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in enough detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Interest/capability statements shall be submitted to Liana J Holland via e-mail at liana.holland@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted. The point of contact for this action is Contract Specialist, Liana J Holland who can be reached at liana.holland@va.gov The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price contract, with a delivery date of no later than 30 days ARO. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition. REQUIRED SERVICES: Subscription to be provided through Press Ganey This subscription consists of contracting for the use of a web-based reporting system that allows the Washington DC VAMC to report nursing quality measures, compare analyzed results to national benchmarks, and participate in an annual nursing survey.
