- Description
- Title: The Command Post Integrated Infrastructure (CPI2) Program Office Announces Request for Information (RFI) #2 for the CPI2 Increment 1 Program The Product Manager for Command Post Integrated Infrastructure (CPI2), in support of the Project Manager Interoperability, Integration and Services (PM I2S), seeks industry feedback regarding the production and fielding of the CPI2 command post design. The CPI2 design seeks to achieve a more survivable command posts that enable dispersed operations, reduces the current footprint, provide redundant capabilities for continuous operations, improve platform, system, expeditionary mobility, and improve signature management. CPI2 Increment 1 program provides a scalable, integrated mobile command post with the ability to execute uninterrupted mission command (MC) under all conditions, including on-the-move (OTM), across multiple locations, with continuity of purpose, in spite of discrete breaks in communications. CPI2 Increment 1 will develop, procure and field CPs (Tactical Command Post (TAC)/MAIN) at Brigade (BDE) and Battalion (BN) echelons, and Mobile Command Groups (MCG) for Corps and Divisions echelons. These solutions will integrate approved commercial and government off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) systems, as well as government programs of record (PoRs) that support CP operational needs. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested parties expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. If an RFP is released, it will be synopsized on the Beta Sam website. It is the responsibility of the potential responder to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. As this is a follow up to the CPI2 Inc 1 RFI#1 released in January of 2021, companies that have previously submitted a response need NOT submit a full response addressing the Original RFI Questions. Rather, a response to the additional questions only is requested. Companies that have not submitted a white paper are invited to do so by addressing both the Original RFI questions and the Additional CPI2 questions contained herein. Please see attached for both sets of questions. Government Virtual Meetings/Site Visits Government personnel may entertain virtual meetings with possible subsequent site visits at select vendor facilities that intend to produce the CPI2 Increment 1 Program. Additional information is provided herein. The purpose of the virtual meeting (one-on-one) is for CPI2s market survey update and to provide vendors an opportunity to detail integration, production, and manufacturing capabilities. Given the number for vendors requesting one-on-one engagements after the CPI2 Inc 1 Industry Day the program office will not be able to accommodate every request. Vendors indicating interest in a CPI2 hosted virtual meeting/one-on-one will be contacted by the CPI2 team based upon receipt and evaluation of a response to this RFI or the previous RFI. The CPI2 Team will review the Industry responses and determine which vendors to conduct one-on-ones with. Specific company point of contact information for scheduling the virtual meeting should be included in the response to this RFI. The Government will be available from May to July of 2021 to conduct virtual and/or site visits. These one-on-one meetings are not required for submission to any RFP in the future. Please see attached for both sets of questions. ALL RESPONSES MUST BE EMAILED TO USARMY.APG.ACC.MBX.CPI2-INC11@MAIL.MIL BY 16 JUNE 2021 AT 5PM EST.
