Sources Sought Notice The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 is conducting market research to help determine the availability and technical capabilities of SDVOSB, SB and Larges Business that can provide one Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) membership for the entire staff on the Truman VA Palliative Care Team at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital with unlimited access to the clinical and operational training, tools, technical assistance, and other expert resources. The performance period will be one base year with option to extend for 4 additional one-year periods. Statement of Work Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC)Membership access: Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital Columbia, MO. VAMC requires one access on the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) membership to strengthen the palliative care skills and knowledge of all clinicians and to ensure access to quality palliative care in all settings across the continuum of care. The following requirements must be met: Provide clinical training online, case-based, interactive courses for all disciplines and all specialties Improve palliative care program operations Offer necessary continuing education, webinars, tools and technical assistance Comprehensive training in communication skills, pain management, symptom management Offer operational and/or leadership tools and training CAPC Membership shall include: With membership become part of a vibrant collaborative network of health care professionals working to strengthen the palliative care skills and knowledge of all clinicians and to ensure access to quality palliative care in all settings across the continuum of care. One CAPC membership provide the entire staff of Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital with unlimited access to the clinical and operational training, tools, technical assistance, and other expert resources. Clinical training for all specialties and disciplines, integrating best practices with highly interactive, case-based skill building. Online course topics include safe and effective opioid prescribing, symptom management, managing difficult conversations, and relief of suffering from diseases like dementia, among many other topics. Free continuing education credits, including ABIM Maintenance of Certification points, are provided for a range of disciplines after the completion of each course. Operational and leadership tools and training on needs assessment, business planning and marketing, team training and support, optimizing billing practices, essential metrics, and building community partnerships. Curated toolkits with hundreds of downloadable business planning and needs assessment tools, tutorials, case studies, and presentations. Experienced faculty guidance via regularly scheduled Virtual Office Hours and Webinars with content experts and national leaders for hands-on advice and mentoring; and the Master Clinician Series, small group discussions on clinical topics using complex case studies. Note that all Webinars are recorded for on-demand viewing and the Master Clinician Series Case Reviews are posted for download.
