Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION SOURCES SOUGHT The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting (NCO) 8, is seeking information and sources that can provide on-site Perfusion/Autotransfusion services inclusive of equipment, disposables, and equipment maintenance to eligible beneficiaries of the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System (hereinafter referred to VACHS), San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Authority for this procurement is VA s health care resources sharing authority in Title 38 United States code Sections 8153. Place of Performance: Required services shall be performed at on-site at, VACHS, 10 Casia St., San Juan, PR 00921. Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance for the resultant contract will be from August 16, 2021 through August 15, 2022 for the base year and four (4), one (1) year option periods. Qualifications: The contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform on-site Perfusion/Autotransfusion services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion http://www.abcp.org/ . The contractor shall provide Perfusionists who are American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certified. Contractor personnel shall have training and experience in all aspects of clinical perfusion. Perfusionist shall be capable of and have successful experience in operating both standard cardiopulmonary bypass and intra-aortic balloon pumps simultaneously, without the need for another cardiopulmonary bypass perfusionist or assisted circulation technician. Required services will be provided to all elective surgeries. Contractor shall provide standby 24/7 on-call for cardiac surgeries, back-up for cardiac Cath lab and aortic balloon insertions; backup for interventional Cardiology (PCI). Required services will be provided as requested by attending surgeons for elective, urgent and emergent surgical procedures. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation. This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this source sought notice. Requests for copies of a solicitation shall not be honored or acknowledged.
