- Description
- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 ""Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,"" as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-2065944 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-05 March 10, 2021. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 534516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 people. The requirement is being competed full and open competition, un-restricted and without a small business set-aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), The Research Technologies Branch, Biological Imaging Section, has a requirement for replacement parts for the incubator boxes on the Leica Stellaris MP confocal microscope, serial number is 830000270, and the Leica Stellaris DIVE system, Serial number 8300000271: Specification of the requested parts: � The enclosure must be polycarbonate, with a black back, sides, and top, but with a clear front. � Lighting should be provided within the incubator to see the microscope and samples. � There must be small doors on the front, for access of the controls of the microscope, and larger access doors on the sides to introduce specimens and other components. � The enclosure must allow full access to the benchtop enclosed within the box for the mounting of detectors using the threaded holes in the work surface. � The unit must provide a steady temperature of 37C around the microscope and sample area. � It must be possible to easily remove the enclosure without disconnection of any of the microscope components or confocal parts. � Lab has a ""cube"" temperature controller/heater/fan unit that will be reused in the new installation. � The enclosure must accommodate external FLIM detectors from Becker and Hickl connected to the microscope. � The incubator must not enclose the Leica confocal scanner since the high temperature will damage this unit. � On the DIVE system incubator, the ""4 Tune"" detector must not be enclosed within the incubator. FOB: Destination The government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor as a result of this RFQ that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. The award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable. The technical capability to meet the above requirements and price.
