The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District is seeking System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses that can provide the following: Culvert Slide Valves for Dresden Lock and Strut Arms for multiple lock sites on the Illinois River. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal or quote or an invitation for bid. Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential (SAM) Database registered businesses interested and capable of performing this work. NAICS CODE: �332999 SIZE STANDARD: �750 Employees POINT OF CONTACT:� Responses are to be sent via email to Contract Specialist, Nicholas Moore, Nicholas.M.Moore@usace.army.mil no later than 10:00 am Central Time on Tuesday, June 01, 2021. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: �The contract includes the fabrication and delivery of Culvert Slide Valves for Dresden Island Lock and Miter Gate Strut Arms for Brandon Road Lock, Starved Rock Lock, Marseilles Lock, and Dresden Island Lock on the Illinois River. The slide valves and strut arms can be fabricated from steel material. Each slide valve bulkhead consists of steel beams, large skin plate, UHMWPE sliders, and miscellaneous steel parts. Each strut arm consists of large threaded pipe, large threaded bolt, cross head, plunger, swivel joint, spring buffer box and other miscellaneous steel parts. The slide valves and strut arms have the following nominal dimensions (and as shown on the attached document): Slide Valve: ��������������� Quantity: 4 Valve Height: 9�-3� ��������������� Valve Width: 11�-4� ��������������� Valve Depth: 1�-10� Strut Arm: ��������������� Quantity: 16 Pipe Length: 16�-11.25� Pipe Outside Diameter: 8.63� ��������������� Bolt Length: 4�-8� ��������������� Bolt Diameter: 3.25� SUBMISSION DETAILS: All interested, responsive and responsible System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses are encouraged to participate in this market research by emailing the required information below to the point of contact listed above. Interested businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database at www.sam.gov. Email submissions are required. Interested businesses shall include the following information to be considered for market research purposes: Company name, address, and cage code A point of contact to include a phone number and email address. Capabilities Statement indicating the contractor can meet the fabrication requirements of the components above.� A potential Supplier must demonstrate through experience, references, contract lists, or reports, they possess relevant resources and capabilities for the following items: Qualification of Supplier: The Supplier shall demonstrate experience with similar fabrication projects meeting the following requirements: The Supplier shall have been in business a minimum of three (3) years with required certificates held continuously for the past three (3) years. The Supplier shall have successfully fabricated three (3) similar projects within the last three (3) years. AISC Certified fabrication shop with Intermediate or Advanced Bridges Certification with Supplemental Requirement F. OR � AISC Certified fabrication shop with Fabricators of Hydraulic Steel Structures Certification. � Statement of Capacity: The Supplier shall provide a statement that their company, or a subcontractor under their supervision, has capacity to manufacture gears to the dimensions shown in this request. Statement of Completion: The Supplier shall provide a statement that their company can provide the quantity of bulkheads and strut arms, and delivered to the Government, by 01 April 2023 assuming a Notice to Proceed date of 30 October 2021. Statement of Delivery:� The supplier shall provide a statement that the gear components can be delivered to the Illinois Waterway Project Office, 257 Grant Street, Peoria, Illinois 61603; ���
