Description

NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award to a single source contract to Phillips Healthcare Informatics, Inc. to provide Philips Core System Software to meet the government�s critical need for a diagnostic imaging capability. The single source vendor is the only known source available that can�conduct advanced medical panel reviews of airmen seeking medical certification in a virtual environment and conduct these multi-person panel reviews online, the government needs a system that allows medical specialists to remotely view diagnostic quality images securely over the internet. This acquisition is critically important to support the Office of Aerospace Medicine and AMCD�s Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), now urgently driven by COVID-19 World Wide Health Pandemic. Purpose of the Announcement:� In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA�s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
