Description
The purpose of this special notice is to announce the Government's intent to sole source to George Washington University under FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Peace Corps has a Partnership Agreement with George Washington University. Other rationale for utilizing FAR 6.302-1 is provided as follows: Since Peace Corps inception, George Washington University is a historical recruitment campus for Peace Corps Volunteers. George Washington University has an interest in maintaining participation with the Peace Corps, while also encouraging its alumni to consider the extraordinary educational experience that service in the Peace Corps provides. The Peace Corps has a vested interest in continuing to receive the large number the high caliber applicants who apply to become Peace Corps Volunteers from George Washington University. George Washington University is the ideal location for several reasons, including: proximity of the campus to the Peace Corps headquarters in Washington D.C.; the large student population on campus; and, the historically high number of high-caliber Peace Corps Volunteer recruits that come from the George Washington University campus. Awarding to George Washington University provides Peace Corps headquarters needed administrative support, while also providing George Washington University students the opportunity to learn about the Peace Corps and its volunteer opportunities, bolstering its recruitment activities at George Washington University and with its alumni throughout the Washington D.C. area. Attached is the Statement of Work. The NAICS Code is 611310 with a small business size standard of $30.0M. The Interior Business anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order for this requirement in June 2021. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed in this notice may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice.
