- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source order/contract to the Association of School and Programs of Public Health, Inc., 1615 L St NW STE 510, Washington, DC 20036. This purchase order will cover 1) publication of an estimated 90 formatted pages published in an online format only or approximately 10 articles; and 2) making the special journal issue available free of charge on-line to subscribers and non-subscribers of the journal; and 3) articles published on the journals online platform upon completion of each article (rolling publication). The Contact Tracing and Innovations Section (CTIS) is one of four sections in the State, Tribal, Local and Territorial (STLT) Support Task Force. As part of CDCs COVID-19 Response, CTIS provides guidance, resources, and technical assistance in planning for and implementing contact tracing activities. The compilation of articles will provide STLT partners with peer-reviewed papers to inform their case investigation and contact tracing policies and decisions. Case investigation and contact tracing are key public health interventions that are employed for other infections transmitted from person to person, such as STDs, HIV, TB, and Ebola virus. However, little has been published about COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing. This PHR supplement would give voice to community mitigation strategies and interventions that fall under the authority and responsibility of public health. The COVID-19 outbreak has evolved at a fast pace, resulting in an urgent and compelling need to rapidly procure services to support the containment and recovery of the outbreak throughout the country and world. The attached CDC class Justification and Approval (J&A) has been made available for review. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 511199, All Other Publishers, with a size standard of 500 employees.
