- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE BRIDGE CONTRACT UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is to award a sole source bridge contract to provide home oxygen supplies and services to the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System-Reno. The contractor shall provide all required supplies, materials, labor, supervision, transportation, patient education, safety management, and infection control. The service supports the Prosthetic and Sensory Aid Service (PSAS). The current contract expires May 31, 2021, and services are still required. This bridge contract will ensure services are provided for a period of four (4) months, with two four-month options to continue services if necessary. This bridge contract will allow enough time for the follow-on effort to be competed in accordance with FAR Part 15. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Justification and Approval, citing the authority of FAR 6.302-1, will be posted for the public inspection on or about 14 days after the contract has been awarded. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by 4:00 PM PST 21 May 2021 via email to Victoria.Torres@va.gov. All proposals received by the closing date specified herein will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, a determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government
