Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. NO CONTRACT AWARD IS EXPECTED FROM THIS RFI. 1.1 Background: Each year, senior officers from each Service are selected to spend a year in Corporate America at leading edge businesses to observe, participate in, and learn corporate best practices in such areas as, business processes and organizations, utilization of information technology, long-range planning, innovation, and change management that could be implemented to transform DoD. SDEF Fellows form a cadre of future, more senior, Service leaders sensitized to the organizational and operational opportunities made possible by the revolutionary changes in information and other technologies. Each incoming group of new SDEF Fellows requires pre-assignment Graduate Business School Executive Education to educate them on the fundamentals of contemporary business, and the different trends and factors that drive strategic business planning. The training should also be designed to engage participants in structured discussions that will examine transformations occurring in the corporate sector for their potential relevance to defense restructuring and planning. 1.2 Objective: The objective is to enable these new SDEF Fellows to grasp the basics of business practices and fully prepare them for their assignments in corporate America. Additionally, the Fellows require academic and advisory support throughout the year on both business world related issues at their corporate assignments and on the research papers they are required to submit. 1.3 Scope: The Contractor shall prepare and facilitate Customized Graduate Business School Executive Education that can be conducted over seven business days during the last two weeks of July. During the remainder of the period of performance, participating Graduate Business School faculty will be available to answer Fellows' questions and provide advice on business world issues, both in general and related to their
