Description
Design Bid Build Composite Aircraft Antenna Calibration Facility A Composite Aircraft Antenna Calibration Facility (CAACF) with state-of-the-art equipment is needed at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), UT. The new 32,000 square foot facility will be built to current Air Force standards utilizing conventional design and construction methods to accommodate the mission of the facility. The building shall adhere to industry standard construction methods, applicable codes, and the Hill Air Force Base Design Guide while providing an aesthetic quality and spatial relationships that promote the well-being of personnel and the success of the mission. The CAACF has been organized into discreet parts, the main facility and the testing chamber (coated with Radar Absorbing Material - RAM) within the facility. The CAACF is a maintenance shop specifically designed and engineered for composite repair work, especially with regard to F22 fighter aircraft repair, maintenance, and modification. Efforts in the facility will include, but are not limited to, the stripping and recoating of the aircraft edges during the repair cycle. Each aircraft part will undergo antenna recalibration on six discrete parts to ensure air worthiness. This project is also required to establish the low observable radar characteristics of the B-2 bomber flight control and leading-edge components. Special expertise: -Example projects demonstrating your ability to construct a similar type facility to this project (outer facility). -Example projects demonstrating your ability to construct precision type facilities similar to our project testing chamber. -Example projects demonstrating that youve installed anechoic material and completed testing to ensure it was installed correctly. -Example projects demonstrating your ability to construct a similar door system similar to our large chamber door.
