RFQ# 36C26221Q0712 DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS: LOMA LINDA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM APOLLO CARTS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies/services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The combined synopsis/solicitation is qualified vendors under NAICS Code 622110 or related to. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotes under solicitation number: 36C26221Q0712. The Department of Veterans Affairs Greater Loma Linda Healthcare System has a requirement for Apollo Carts. This requirement is being solicited as an SDVOSB Set-Aside requirement for Brand Name or Equal to Apollo Carts. All quotes submitted for equal to brands must provide salient characteristics with submission of quote or will be deemed technically unacceptable. The successful SDVOSB contractor shall furnish all supplies and deliver them to the VHALL Facility. Rack Assembly and Basket Placement Onsite 2 EA APOLLO CARTS: SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Transportation carts shall be made of polymers and resistant to moisture. fully ISO (60X40cm) compatible and all surfaces are made of ABS. Internal part of the cart base is equipped with dedicated draining surfaces for cleaning purposes. ABS interior panels must allow baskets and trays stored horizontally and can be tilted on a 30-degree angle when extended out 110%. ABS interior panels can be equipped with wheels for smoother and easier movement of heavy loaded baskets and trays. Extended caster pattern for increased stability with full wrap-around bumper for added protection Carts must be equipped with 5 (125mm) medical grade casters, by Tente. Aluminum frame glass doors with 4mm tempered clear glass with the capability to open 270 degrees and engraved door handle from top to bottom. Electronic combination self-locking locks, battery can be changed without removing the lock. Cart accommodates 5cm (2 ) 10cm (4 ) and 20cm (8 ) deep baskets & trays. Must be equipped with Push handles Baskets must have ergonomic grip handles that will accommodate insertable color coded plastic strips on the front of each basket/tray. Peripheral sealing to prevent dust accumulation and reduce impact when the door is closed. APOLLO CARTS TRANSPORTATION CARTS IMAGE BELOW *The successful contractor shall provide the following minimum storage requirements for the Disaster Carts & high-density racks. MINIMUM STORAGE REQUIREMENT High Density Open Frame Racks: Tubular frames shall be constructed from 1 tubular, galvanized, powder-coated steel in color cream RAL # 9001 or material of equal strength and durability. Rack units should be of the following dimensions 26-1/8 deep by 18 wide by 78 high. Have non-marking casters with a minimum diameter of 2.5"". All Units shall have an integrated solid bottom support plate on each rack that do not prevent loss of basket space and provides additional stability, protects supplies against mop splash. Racks shall be able to hold up to 9 dividable bins or 9 instrument trays on rollers per section. Support bins of varying depths constructed of injection molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) with the dimensions of 40cm x 60cm (meet ISO Standards). Bins shall be of open design to minimize dust collection. A minimum of three bin heights is required with at least a 2.5 cm difference in height between each size (e.g. 5cm, 10cm, and 20cm). Bins must be machine washable able to withstand PH-neutral and slightly alkaline detergents and disinfectants. The bins must be heat resistance with a max continuous of 70C and max short term of 90C. The maximum load per bin is 40 kg. Only horizontal basket rails for maximizing storage capacity will be accepted. The rails should be of the type which will allow for the baskets to be placed on an angle of 30 degrees or more for easy access and enhanced viewing of supplies once the baskets are extended out at full length. Permanently angled baskets are not acceptable as it does not allow for the maximization of storage space (See Pictures Below). Modular and spacing easily adaptable to accommodate future inventory growth and/or item proliferation. Baskets must have ergonomic grip handles that will accommodate insertable color coded plastic strips on the front of each basket/tray. The handles should be constructed of injection molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and should fit securely across the front ledge (lip) of each basket and shall be easily gripped to assist in the movement of the basket in and out. The colored strips must be exchangeable within the handle but not limited to colors. ANGLED & COLOR-CODED BASKETS PLACE OF DELIVERY All supplies must be delivered to the facility s Shipping and Receiving Department located at The VA Greater Loma Linda Facility located at: 11201 Benton Street Loma Linda, CA 92357. Supplies must be delivered to the VHALL facility within 90 Days of the purchase Order award. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE The VA technical Point of Contact at the VHALL is responsible for performing inspections necessary to substantiate that the supplies furnished under this contract are not damaged and in good working condition. Any items found to be damaged and/or not in working condition, would be returned to the contractor and must be replaced in a timely manner.
