This notice identifies a pre-award qualification opportunity established in accordance with FAR 9.2, as supplemented, in anticipation of a forthcoming and future competitive acquisition opportunities. The current forecast procurement requirements over the next five government fiscal years (October � September) are as follows: � NSN 1680-01-162-5860� � 1B Flap Actuator Assembly- Forecasted Quantity: Fiscal Year (FY)21 -25 None NSN 1680-01-162-1058� � 2A Flap Actuator Assembly- Forecasted Quantity: FY21 -25 None NSN 1680-01-160-6521 �� 2B Flap Actuator Assembly-Forecasted Quantity: FY21 -25 None NSN 1680-01-161-2101��� 3A Flap Actuator Assembly- Forecasted Quantity: FY21 -25 None NSN 1680-01-162-5858��� 3B Flap Actuator Assembly-Forecasted Quantity: FY21 9�each,� FY 22-25 None NSN 1680-01-161-2102��� 4A,5A,6A Flap Actuator Assembly-Forecasted Quantity: FY21 -25 None NSN 1680-01-166-4022��� 4B,5B,6B Flap Actuator Assembly -Forecasted Quantity: FY21 -25 None The Flap Actuator Assemblies are self-contained power transmitting devices designed to convert rotary motion to linear (straight-line) mechanical movement.� The Flap Actuator Assemblies are part of the C-5 flap system that physically drives the positioning of the number flaps facilitating the aircraft�s ability to operate at a relatively slow speed for takeoff/landing and high speeds/cruise.NSN 1680-01-162-5858: Dimensions:� Length � 87.2000 inches; Width � 20.7000 inches; Height � 14.7000 inches; Weight � 138 lb.� Material:� Steel. These parts requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to assure the integrity of the part.� Potential sources are encouraged to demonstrate their ability to meet the standards specified in this announcement for qualification by the design control activity with respect to NSN 1680-01-162-5858. The information provided in this notice is designed to advise potential sources of the documentation, requirements, and procedures to obtain pre-award qualification approval for the item identified in this notice.� The Government will not reimburse any potential offeror for their submission of a pre-award qualification package, and the submission does not guarantee either approval as a source or an opportunity for any future contract. �This notice does not constitute a solicitation and does not ensure that a competitive solicitation will follow.� Failure to submit a complete and timely pre-award qualification package could result in an interested offeror not being considered for future awards for the item identified in this notice.
