Description

NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single source contract to Johnson Controls Inc to provide and install software updates with no cost renewal licenses for the Structured Query �Language(SQL) that will meet or exceed FAA Information System Security allowing the FAA to protect, monitor, operate, gather, report, and archive utility usage data for the facility. This project will also include the installation of controllers for system specific facility power plants operation replacing legacy controllers. Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center utilizes the Johnson Controls Metasys Direct Digital Computer Control Monitoring System exclusively as the sole complex of hardware and software devices to monitor, control, and maintain the Center�s heating, ventilating, and air conditioning through hardware and software application. This will be a one-time purchase order. The single source vendor is the only known source available that can provide technical support. Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
