- Vessel: USCGC BERTHOLF Location: Alameda, CA 94501 Period of performance is required to commence on 5/17/2021 with an expected duration of 5 days. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items/services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Request for Quotations number is 70Z0-8521-Q-P45E5700 and is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-65 dated January 29, 2013. The NAICS Code is 336611. The small business size standard is 1250. This is a total small business set aside. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. All responses from interested vendors must be�received on/before 0800 Pacific Time, May 14th, 2021, and will be reviewed by the Government. �� The United States Coast Guard Surface Force Logistics Center has a requirement for: STBD anchor windlass unit suffered a major hydraulic oil rupture on tubing leading from charge oil line retuning to sump. Contractor required to: Mobilize shipyard personal to remove motors. Perform lock out tag out of effected systems. Provide shipyard electrician to disconnect motors Contractor to remove (2) each anchor windlass motors. Shipyard provided crane to remove motors. Contractor to hire Electric Motor Repair Facility to clean, inspect, dip, bake, megger and install new bearings on the motors. Any required repairs will be priced after inspections are complete Remove broken hydraulic tubing. Inspect additional tubing. Fit and install (1) new section of tubing. Inspect and provide report for the motor couplings and mounts. . Any additional repairs will be performed via change order. Perform operational test in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector. Upon completion of testing leave work area in as found condition. �A detailed scope is provided in attachments section.
