Description

SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS � USACE Finance Center (UFC) New Mail Stuffer/Inserter Machine This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes.� No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis.�� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) � Humphreys Engineer Center Support Activity has been tasked to solicit for and award for the purchase of a new mail stuffer/inserter machine for the USACE Finance Center (UFC). We are looking for possible alternatives/replacements for the current mail machine model that are comparable in overall performance. We anticipate a Small Business Set-Aside. The existing mail inserter base machine: Hasler Inserter Base Model# DS200� Serial# PAD8590 Equipment ID#MCC1558AA REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW MACHINE:� processing Capability � At least 30,000 envelopes per month. (This shouldn�t be an issue because almost every inserter we have looked at has the capability to do significantly more.) Speed � over 3,500 envelopes per hour Feeders � 3 total, 1 feeder holding 1000 sheets, 1 feeder holding 500 sheets, 1 manual feeder Additional Requirements Ability to feed, fold, insert, and seal documents containing up to 8 pages Conveyer exit belt Touch screen monitor Ability to have technician on-site within 4 hours to service/repair the machine Service/Maintenance services to perform at least annual cleaning and servicing of Inserter. Training availability to bring UFC employees up to speed on properly using the Inserter Interested vendors with NAICS code 333249 Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing are encouraged to submit a response. The responses for this sources sought market survey are not expected to be proposals, but rather statements regarding the ability of the company�s products/equipment to meet the needs of UFC (based on the performance level of their current machine). It is asked that interested parties respond to this sources sought synopsis with the following information: A brief description of your company. Business size/Socio-economic status.-e.g., Small Business, SDVOSB, 8(a), etc. Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) number and CAGE code. Any questions/suggestions related to the requirement needed to clarifying the needs of UFC. Information on the model(s) of equipment/machine that your firm offers that can meet the needs of UFC, including brief descriptions and explanations as to why your firm�s products are best suited to replace the current unit. This market survey is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP).� It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government.� No award will be made as a result of this market survey.� All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government.� The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey.� The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.� Responses must be received via email no later than 7 May 2021, 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time.
