- ***PLEASE SEE SF18, STATEMENT OF WORK AND CLAUSES/PROVISIONS FOR FULL DETAILS*** EXISTING CONDITIONS The existing parking lot and other asphalt pavement installed throughout the property have been deteriorating overtime. Cracks, potholes and sunken surfaces have been forming throughout. Asphalt restoration, sealing and restriping are part of a 5-year Southern Region Facilities Maintenance Cycle, design to prolong the asphalt useful life, and San Juan Weather and Forecast Office (WFO) is due this fiscal year. Not restoring and resealing the existing asphalt will shorten its useful life, causing premature replacement of the asphalt. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this Statement of Work is to specify the requirements and procedures for the restoration of the existing parking lot, access roads and other asphalt pavement at San Juan WFO. The restoration of the parking lot and access roads will return the deteriorated asphalt up to its original conditions, and will extend its useful life. SCOPE The National Weather Service (NWS) solicits interested and qualified private and commercial vendors to submit proposals for entering into agreement for the purpose of providing the services specified under this request for proposal. The contractor is to provide all necessary labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, services, hardware, consumables and supervision to furnish all the services requested under this solicitation. The NWS expects a �turnkey� solution for this project. All materials shall be new and of the latest technology/product available at the moment. Installation, service and maintenance shall be performed by skilled personnel. Prior to starting this project, the contractor will need to coordinate all activities with COR and site POC identified in this document.
