- The Federal Aviation Administration contemplates issuing a Screening Information Request (SIR) for a Fire Alarm service provider to support the FAA in migrating the existing Siemens Fire Alarm Control Panel for Richmond Airport's (RIC) Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) in Richmond, VA. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: a. Existing MXL fire panel front end will be replaced with new XLS platform. b. Programming to complete full migration for Richmond Airport networked system. d. Add one Manual Pull station by link egress door e.�Remove two PACP (Pre-action Control panel) connection from the fire alarm control panel. f. Remove six (6) Manual Pull Stations and six (6) horn/strobes from floor 2 to 6 exterior balconies. g. Remove Network trouble conditions from FAA panel. The Contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, supervision and transportation to perform this work in accordance with the specifications and drawings as well as all local, state and federal laws. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and proposals are not being accepted from this public announcement. At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a Full and Open competition or a Set-Aside for small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) program. The purpose of this pre-solicitation is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, 8(a) certified firms, and all other business types and sizes capable of providing the type of work described in this notice. In order to assist with acquisition strategy development and to gain a better understanding of the commercial marketplace, the FAA requests the following information from interested vendors: A. Name of Company (the resultant Prime contractor that may ultimately be awarded the subsequent contract). B. Address C. Point of Contact name, e-mail address and telephone number D. DUNS Number E. Bonding Capability F. Relevant experience on projects of similar scope within the last five years. Provide specific contract numbers, contact names, and email information to support claimed capabilities. G. Number of years in Business Failure to respond to the Pre-solicitation may preclude a contractor's ability to receive a copy of the future solicitation. Limit complete responses to no more than 5 pages. Information provided will not be released; however, mark PROPRIETARY on all documents submitted as necessary.
