Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Replacement of Chillers #2 and #3 at DFAS W912QR21R0048 SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, supplies and services as required for the replacement of Chillers #2 and #3 at Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Building 21, located within the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC), a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) installation to result in a complete and useable facility. As part of the solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements: HVAC Chillers � The replacement chillers will specifically be Trane Model CVHF770 chillers. �DFAS currently uses Trane chiller systems for their building and requires their continued use to maintain compatibility with the current building management system being utilized by DFAS. Trane has offices around the world, with a regional office in Holland, Ohio. DFAS has implemented an installation standardization of HVAC chiller manufacturers in order to reduce overall costs and increase overall performance efficiencies. *This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, if any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a capability statement to the point of contact listed in this Special Notice.� All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow USACE to be able to determine if the interested party can perform the requirement described herein.
