- Description
- The Vermont Air National Guard intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), W50S9C-21-R-0004, to award a single firm fixed price to repaint and eradicate airfield markings. �Work will be performed at the 158th Fighter Wing, South Burlington, Vermont (Chittenden County) under the project number and title CURZ 212301 � Repaint Airfield Markings. This project is being procured as Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237310, with a size standard of $39,500,000.00. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $250,000.00. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or about 23 April 2021. The tentative date for the pre-bid site visit is scheduled on-or about 12 May 2021 at 10:00 AM (Eastern). Actual dates, times, and location will be in the solicitation. The contract will be to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary for repainting all identified markings on the base�s Airfield surfaces. The project will consist of repainting the following: Yellow Taxi line Centerlines with Black border lines in Aircraft Shelters Yellow Holding Pad Taxi lines with Black border lines Yellow Holding Pad Shoulder markings with Black border lines Yellow Aircraft Parking spot Nose Wheel marks with Black border lines. White Aircraft towing guide lines with Black border lines. Yellow Aircraft Grounding point location circles with Black border and text. White Vehicle parking and Equipment storage area lines White Vehicle stop bars Yellow Hangar door safety hazard zone markings Black Hangar door Danger signs with White backgrounds Red Hangar door hazard signs White Facility Hangar Door Clear Zone boundary lines Red Facility Restricted Area lines Black and Red Facility Restricted Area signs with White background Red HEF System markings in Aircraft Shelters Red Fire Department building connection clear zone markings Eradication of existing markings as designated on project plans. Removal of existing paint will be completed without damage to pavement surface. A combination of mechanical and chemical means may be necessary. NOTE: Glass beads will be added to all identified markings on project drawings. Glass beads for Aircraft Arresting System markings on main runway will be applied using a pressurized bead tank per requirements in project details. Contractor shall create for use, and provide to the VTANG at project close out all templates required for project work. Interested contractors are encourage to attend the pre-bid site visit. Contractors shall follow instructions provided in the solicitation for base access and sealed bidding requirements. All questions for the pre-bid conference must be submitted by NLT 48 hours prior to the pre-bid via email to brian.j.dusablon.mil@mail.mil and randy.a.brittingham.mil@mail.mil. The bid opening date is scheduled for on-or about 25 May 2021 at 10:00 PM (Eastern). Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Interested offerors must be registered in beta.SAM. Contractors who do not already have a MPIN are advised that the normal processing is 7 to 15 business days to obtain a MPIN password that will give them access to the plans and specifications, which are located in the controlled access location on beta.SAM.gov.
