- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement to be used for preliminary market research purposes only. No quotations are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTATIONS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The type of solicitation to issue will depend upon the responses to this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made by the Government for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The National Park Service, Lake Mead National Recreation Area seeks the capability of small business vendors for the disposal and replacement of 260 cubic feet of adsorptive media contained within two treatment tanks at Cottonwood Cove Water Treatment Plant. The media is used to remove arsenic from the groundwater used as the water supply for the public water system at Cottonwood Cove NV0002501. The offeror will bring its own crew to the site to remove the old media, install new media, and put the adsorbers back into service. Included in this service are the following: Media Supply: The offeror will supply five (5) supersacks virgin granular SORB 33 Media totaling 260 cu ft. for the change out. When service occurs, each filter will be filled with approximately 130 cu ft. of virgin media. New gaskets will be provided as part of the change out service. Change-Out Services: The offeror will provide all labor, expertise and equipment required for the removal and replacement of spent media at the Cottonwood Cove Well. The removal and replacement services include pumping/sucking spent media out of the vessels and placing into appropriate transportable container(s). The offeror will perform a visual inspection of each vessel to check general condition, and for any leaks or items of concern. The filters will then be refilled with virgin media, disinfection chemicals (supplied by National Parks Service will be added and media beds will be left to `soak� for a period of time after which The offerors personnel will perform the initial backwash and the adsorbers will be placed back on-line. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is 221310. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is $30 million in average annual receipts. Interested companies responding to this sources sought should include the following information: 1. Company name, address, DUNS number, point of contact, telephone number and email address. 2. Information about qualifications or a capabilities statement. 3. Any experience servicing this equipment. 3. Provide the company's business size (small or other than small) and all applicable socio-economic category information (Small, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB).
