Description
Provide hazardous waste and other regulated waste management and release support; small arms firing range clearance and maintenance services; site investigations and evaluations; and Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) control, removal and disposal from installed systems and mobile equipment.� Waste management support will include the inventory of waste on-site, preparation of waste profiles, waste characterization (including sampling, analysis, and data interpretation), packaging of waste into Department of Transportation (DOT) approved containers, disposal of waste at an authorized disposal or recycling facility, clean-up of waste releases, and preparation of final reports.� Range services will involve removal and recycling of projectiles from indoor and outdoor small arms shooting ranges, performing range maintenance and repair activities, and implementing measures to prevent migration of lead following industry best management practices.� Site investigations and evaluations will involve determining and documenting the nature and extent of potential contamination or monitoring.�� AFFF removal and disposal will include collection of required field samples and laboratory analysis, extraction of AFFF from fixed systems and mobile equipment, cleaning/rinsing of AFFF equipment and systems, and proper disposal of AFFF concentrates and rinsates. The geographical area for this contract will encompass the NAVFAC Southeast Area of Responsibility, including the States of South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma as well as Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and facilities within the Caribbean.�
