- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to obtain services that will help in establishing and facilitating a multi-sectorial public-private collaborative process to, Resolve Inc., 1255 23rd St NW, STE 275, Washington, D.C. 20037-1180. Nationwide, thousands of children are still being exposed to hazardous sources of lead in their homes, schools, daycares and other places where they live and play. Consequently, to avoid the health burden and associated costs of elevated blood lead levels, there is a critical need to eliminate the most common sources of lead from childrens environments. CDCs NCEH/ATSDR is proposing a lead-free communities model be developed that would encompass well-established interventions/recommendations for removal.Resolve is the needed vendor for this program as they completed Phase 1. Phase 1 of the Lead-Free Communities Initiative was successful in confirming the overarching goals and desired outcomes of the Lead-Free Communities Initiative as well as developing a draft working definition for a lead free community. The draft will be refined through discussions with CDC experts and stakeholders and by external expert panel members during Phase 2. Resolve willbuild on the foundation established during Phase 1 andwill focus on developing / refining a comprehensive LFC model and evaluation plan, both of which will be tested in pilot communities. The LFC Model development process will occur over several months with the goal to gather input from both internal and external experts.Resolve will assist with facilitating the development of both the LFC Model and draft evaluation plan to assess the impact and evaluation of the LFC Model. Resolvewill assist theCDC in refining the LFC Model and evaluation plan based on the feedback gathered. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541511 Custom Computer Programming Services. No solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses should be emailed to Mr. Philip Robinson at KKQ4@CDC.GOV using solicitation number 75D301-20-R68117in the subject line no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, Feb 15, 2021.
