- This is notice of DLA Aviation�s intent to extend the period of performance of Woodward, Inc.�s (66503) contract SPE4AX-13-D-9417 an additional six months, from June 20, 2021 to December 19, 2021.� This notice of intent is not a full and open competitive solicitation and quotes are not being requested from vendors other than Woodward, Inc. (66503). �DLA-Aviation intends to only solicit and negotiate with Woodward, Inc. (66503) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. �The determination to compete or not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Contract SPE4AX-13-D-9417 provides consumable item and depot level repairable item support for items sole source to Woodward, Inc. (66503).� At this time, the contract is set to expire June 19, 2021.� All existing options written into the contract have been exercised.� This extension ensures customer requirements will remain satisfied without experiencing unacceptable delays during the required 180-day transition and synchronization period under the follow-on contract to Woodward, Inc.�s (66503) sole exclusive distributor, AAR Supply Chain, Inc. (1Y249).� Interested and responsible sources who consider themselves qualified to manufacture or legitimately obtain these items are invited to submit a capability statement, which may be considered by the Agency, before the closing date and time listed under this notice.� The supplying of standard commercial literature shall not be construed as compliance unless it is complete in all details as to permit a technical evaluation.� Technical data shall be written in English.� All dimensions, capacities, and ratings shall be given in the United States System of Measurement.� Information submitted other than as herein described will not be translated or converted by the Government to determine product conformance or acceptability.� Vendors who do not provide sufficient data for evaluation may be rejected without further consideration. Submit responses to Ashli.Procise@dla.mil.� Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged.� Feedback or evaluations will not be provided to sources regarding their submission.� A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.� If your company desires to be reviewed and qualified as an ""Approved Source"" for these items, submit an application package through the Source Approval Request (SAR) Program as outlined in the JACG SAM HB document. �A SAR package contains all the technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality, or better, than the required item. �The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item, which DLA Aviation is procuring. If there is an open solicitation for an NSN in which you want to submit a SAR, please submit the SAR directly to the POC listed on this notice.
