- Description
- This synopsis is prepared in accordance with FAR 5.2 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� This proposed bridge contract is being processed on a sole source basis.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541330. � The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF), and Cost Reimbursement (CR) bridge contract on a sole source basis to PAE Applied Technologies, LLC (hereafter referred to as �PAE�), at 6500 West Freeway, Suite 400, Fort Worth, Texas 76116-2118. The modification will provide continuity for the operation and maintenance of the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC). The anticipated period of performance is 24 May 2021 through 17 November 2021 with an option period for a further extension to 04 February 2022. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1; Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. PAE is currently performing the required services under current AUTEC Contract N66604-05-C-1277. PAE is the only viable source able to support AUTEC�s mission to avoid the negative impacts of a lapse in coverage.� PAE is the only company that has personnel in place with the requisite skills and experience to perform starting 24 May 2021 at full operational tempo. The place of performance is West Palm Beach, FL and Andros Island, Commonwealth of the Bahamas. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals.� This requirement is being posted to maximize communication with industry.� This does not constitute a Solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.� Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.� No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement.� Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is purely voluntary. All�questions regarding this synopsis must be submitted via email, to�both Andrew Nagelhout, at andrew.c.nagelhout@navy.mil and�Tracy J. Hamilton, at tracy.j.hamilton@navy.mil.� No questions will be accepted by phone. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
