- Synopsis of Proposed Contract Action Bruker Optics, Inc. � Tango-R CS FT-NIRS, supplies, and ancillary services A determination not to compete this proposed contract was made pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1). Bruker Optics, Inc. is the only known business that can provide Tango-R CS FT-NIRS, supplies, and ancillary services (must be able to interface with existing equipment and technology systems). Must be capable to quantitatively measure absorption frequencies in the near infrared wavelengths (4000 - 12,500 cm-1) corresponding to vibrational transitions of molecular bond in organic substances (C-H, O-H, N-H, S-H).� Provide high reproducibility for heterogeneous samples and precise estimates of fish age to support stock assessments for fishery management advice. Must be capable of measuring all samples through the same integrating sphere and detector elements to insure a seamless transfer of calibration data. Provides software for piloting, mission setup, and data download, as well as spectrometer maintenance hardware and software. Compatible with existing equipment and technology systems maintained and operated by NOAA�s Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), Age and Growth Program. The software application was developed and made specifically for the AFSC ageing fish program for optimization and implementation utilizing these instruments. The calibration models were built on existing spectrometers manufactured by Bruker. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, only one source is reasonably available. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for these item is 334516. This notice of intent is not a formal solicitation or request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. No award will be made on the basis of quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Interested parties may submit their interest and capabilities no later than Thursday, December 31, 2020 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. E-mail statements will be accepted but senders are responsible for ensuring the complete transmission and timely receipt. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only.
