- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee modification to Delivery Order N0001917F1545 under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-16-G-0001 to The Boeing Company, 6200 J.S. McDonnell Blvd Saint Louis, MO 63166, using authority FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAVAIRs requirement is for One FSR to perform 8 months of engineering support at each of the following locations: Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, NAS Whidbey Island, and NAS LeMoore. Tasks shall consist of responding to inquiries, providing local and distance assistance and other support functions for fielded aircraft at other sites as necessary for the PE Investigation, Environmental Control System (ECS) and On-Board Oxygen Generation System (OBOGS). This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Boeing PE/ECS FSRs are the only individuals that have the ability to obtain Boeing proprietary data and are specifically trained in troubleshooting problems as it applies to the F-18 ECS. If the fleet is unable to reach out directly to the on-site Boeing PE/ECS FSRs, when ECS cautions, warnings, or discrepancies arise, aircraft would be immediately placed in a down status until Government engineering subject matter experts arrived onsite to assist aircraft maintainers in troubleshooting procedures. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement with sufficient detail that clearly demonstrates the capability to produce the required products no later than 5:30PM (EST) 6January 2021 to Samantha.pennini@navy.mil. Any questions regarding this synopsis should be sent via e-mail to chelsey.williams@navy.mil.
