Description

Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to QIAGEN LLC, 19300 Germantown Road, Germantown, MD 20874. This requirement is for the procurement of Qiagen Master Agreement Service support to provide annual preventive maintenance and service repair for operated Qiagen instruments. The service covers the cost of the materials/parts needed and the service engineer who performs the tasks. The NAICS code is 334516. Qiagen LLC has provided a sole source letter stating they are the sole provider of the instrument service and there are no authorized distributors in the US to work on QIAGEN equipment. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c) (1), only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 14:30 p.m. on 28 December 2020, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
