- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation (N00024-21-R-2451), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 15, for East Coast Fitting Out Availability (FOA) and Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) Execution. FOA/PSA encompasses all of the manpower, support services, material, non-standard equipment and associated technical data and documentation required to prepare for and accomplish the LPDs 28, 29, and 30 FOA/PSAs.� The work to be performed will include correction of Government responsible deficiencies, new work identified between delivery and the time of FOA/PSA, and incorporation of approved engineering changes that were not incorporated during the new construction periods, which are not otherwise the building yard�s responsibility under the ship construction contract. ����������� The Navy�s planned date for release of the RFP is 2nd Quarter FY21.� The contract will be awarded to the responsible Offeror whose proposal represents best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. �� This pre-solicitation synopsis is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, RFP, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No comments, questions, or inquires shall be made to any Government person other than the points of contact identified in this synopsis. Any comments and/or questions regarding this pre-solicitation synopsis must be submitted to the Contracting Officer, Daniel Antoon, via email at Daniel.Antoon@navy.mil, and Contract Specialist, Zach Tucker, via email at Zach.M.Tucker@navy.mil. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The final RFP, to include the final Specification and other relevant attachments, will be issued electronically.
