- Contract Number: N00024-14-C-6322 Product Service Code: 334 � Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing/334511 � Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing NAICS Code: 334511 -- Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing Notice Type:� Synopsis NOTICE: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any information or responses received may be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Description The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a contract modification, on a sole source basis, to Textron Systems Corporation in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for a continuation of engineering and technical services for the Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS) Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) contract N00024-14-C-6322. Anticipated award date January 2021. The scope of the requirement will include engineering and technical services for engineering change proposals, support for test events, and software support activities for USV program.� As the prime integrator and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for UISS, Textron Systems Corporation is the only known source capable of providing the required engineering and technical services to the Navy in the time frame required to support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) in performance of Mine Warfare for the Fleet. The statutory authority for the sole source is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to support the Fleet.
