This RFI is NOT a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or an announcement of a solicitation; it is only intended for information or planning purposes. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. Response to this RFI is strictly voluntary and will not affect any potential offeror's ability to submit an offer if a solicitation is released. Any requests for a solicitation package will be disregarded. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will arise as a result of preparing submissions in response to this RFI and the government's use of such information. Submittals will not be returned to the sender. Respondents to this RFI may be asked to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals. The information requested will be used within the Air Force and may be disclosed outside of the agency. All information marked PROPRIETARY will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. On behalf of AFLCMC/EB Divisions, SOCOM Det-1, Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), and the Air Force Nuclear Warfare Center (AFNWC), the Armament Directorate �(AFLCMC/EB) is seeking information from sources that may possess the ability to rapidly develop technologies of novel weapons capabilities, apply unique solutions, innovative ideas, characterization of new technologies, system concepts providing evolutionary, revolutionary, and disruptive capabilities to weapons systems requirements, studies and demonstrations for the United States Air Force.� Note:� References to �weapons� should be ready broadly to apply to projects pertinent to the Air Force PEO for Weapons and Team Eglin, which may expand beyond traditional armament to areas such as test and training systems. Information is sought to broaden the knowledge base of potential rapid response capabilities available as they apply to all areas and phases of weapons development to include weapons concepts, concept development, and concept demonstrations and weapons system procurement to quickly meet current and future weapons system requirements.
