Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Professional Services Acquisition Unit (PSAU)�intends to award a sole source bridge contract for a period up to 4 months (including 1 base period and 3�option periods) for security management and support services for the Security Operations and Personnel Unit (SOPU) of the Operational Technology Division (OTD) and Laboratorr Division (LAB). The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is�41 U.S.C. 253(c)(2) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-2, Urgent and Compelling Urgency. The bridge contract is required pending completion of a competitive follow-on acquisition. RFQ # 1469267 was posted on GSA eBuy on 8 December 2020, as a small business set-aside�for the new contract. The present contract with New Age Protection,�Inc. will end on 31 December�2020. The Period of Performance for the bridge contract is 01 January 2021 - 30 April 2021. The FBI is unable to competitively post, select, award a contract and perform all required security reviews for new security management and support services before 31 December 2020. The intent of this sole source procurement is to provide the required support services from 01 January 2021�until the award and transition of the follow-on acquisition.�
