- Intend to Award Sole Source to: Upgrade Existing GE Centricity Archive Software and Hardware System THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: GE Healthcare IITS USA CORP 40 IDX DR South Burlington, VT 05403-7771 The objective of this sole source award is to acquire an upgrade to the existing GE Centricity Archive Software and Hardware System. Sole source is based on only one responsible source as GE Healthcare IITS USA CORP is the manufacturer of GE Centricity 4.0 Archive Software. Contractor has provided Manufacturer Sole Source Proprietary Letter. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334517; the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 13:00 EST on December 14, 2020 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Tempero, Contract Specialist at Michael.Tempero@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Birmingham VA Medical Center , Intent to Sole Source to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc . A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
