Description
The following represents the Notice of Intent that will be posted on beta.sam.gov. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to negotiate solely with TIB Molbiol, LLC., 1001 US Highway 9, #201, Howell, New Jersey 07731 to obtain the following supplies for the Eastern Lab in Athens, Georgia: LCD-Array Kit The Government intends to purchase LCD-array species detection kits from TIB MOLBIOL, LLC. that identifies multiple species in one run. The array method does not need to differentiate between a raw or cooked product and so a single kit can be used regardless of the type of product submitted for species identification. The kits are sole proprietary to TIB Molbiol, LLC. and is the only known source which can provide the required supplies to the current requirements. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements Citation: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The period of performance will be for a 12- month base period plus 4 option years. The estimated value is $1,500 per kit (96 samples/multiple species detection).� The contractor shall provide to the USDA Eastern Lab in Athens, Georgia 30605: � Item: LCD-Array Kit The contractor shall supply kits that meet the following requirements: The Meat 5.0 kit can analyze 96 samples and test for multiple species in one run. The kit must detect chicken, turkey, beef, pork, sheep, horse, deer, canine and feline species. When requested the kit may be updated to provide either additional species or test only for those specific species tested and regulated by FSIS. Deliverables: Provide one to two kits per month Ability to add additional species Expiration dates should be a minimum of 6 months from the date the order is placed. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of this solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond within five (5) calendar days from the date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide the proprietary services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to announcement #123A9421R0001. If no viable responses have been received in response after Thursday, December 10, 2020, 5:00 pm E.S.T to this announcement, USDA/FSIS shall negotiate solely with TIB Molbiol, LLC.
