- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract, on a sole source basis to The Boeing Company in Seattle, WA, for Level-of-effort support to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) for the ground support integration and airworthiness certification of the P-8A platform. �������������� The Contractor shall support the Government in planning. The support shall be related to planning requirements and support that fall within the following scope:� (1) research, development, test, evaluation, and integration of the required P-8 ground support system and interfaces into the RAAF infrastructure to support the addition of the P-8A platform; (2) airworthiness analysis and planning, airworthiness process compliance; (3) engineering investigations, trade studies, and analyses; (4) integration support for avionics, communications, mission, and weapons systems; (5) DMS support for RAAF-unique environment considerations; (6) System Safety analysis to support the Australian airworthiness certification; (7) Structural analysis to support Australian airworthiness certification and maintenance planning; (8) Air vehicle support for RAAF corrosion criteria assessments and planning; (9) RAAF unique configuration assessments; (10) Australia specific WHS/HAZMAT tasking; (11) Rough-order-of-magnitude cost assessment for the above scope of activities. � �������������� The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not own the data rights and a competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. �������������� This notification is not a request for competitive proposals.� However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Responses stating interest must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
