- Project: Department of Veterans Affairs Historic Wadsworth Chapel Lease at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System - West Los Angeles Campus (GLAHS-WLA) in Los Angeles, California Classification Code: X NAICS Code: 531312 Set Aside: N/A Lease Award Date: November 30, 2020 This serves as notice that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded a lease agreement for the Historic Wadsworth Chapel located on the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System West Los Angeles Campus at 11301 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The primary purpose of the Lease will be the provision of services that principally benefit Veterans and their families, pursuant to the West Los Angeles Leasing Act of 2016 (Public Law 114-226), as amended by Section 303 of the VA Expiring Authorities Act of 2018 (Public Law 115-251). Such services include the rehabilitation and historic preservation of the Chapel, as well as services provided within the rehabilitated structure. The Lease was awarded to the following Lessee based on a competitive procurement process: Wadsworth Chapel Heritage Partners 800 W 6th St Ste 1505 Los Angeles, CA 90017 The Lease is for a twenty (20) year firm term with three (3) additional ten (10) year option terms. In exchange for VA entering into the Lease, in addition to providing the rehabilitation, preservation and services that principally benefit Veterans and their families at no cost to the VA, the Lessee will be required to manage, operate and maintain the Wadsworth Chapel in a diligent and careful manner consistent with the solemnity and historic significance of the facility while providing an environment conducive to transformative services, socialization, therapeutic support and evidence-based therapies, community building, and spiritual wellness for Veterans and their families.
