Description

This is a special notice of intent prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed price contract to Waste Management of Idaho, Inc. for refuse removal services at the Albeni Falls Dam site and the associated Albeni Falls Dam recreation sites. This contract is intended to comprise of one base-year and four option-years. Refuse removal is a standard service requirement for the Albeni Falls Dam main project site and associated recreation areas. Historically the Seattle District has used service contracts with Waste Management of Idaho, Inc. to provide these services for the Albeni Falls Dam. Waste Management of Idaho, Inc. is the primary refuse removal service provider in the Albeni Falls Dam area of Bonner County, ID. They are contracted with Bonner County for collection and transportation of waste at each of the 14 collection sites in Bonner County. They are the only firm in the business of collecting weekly household waste and providing the requisite dumpsters needed for refuse removal at Albeni Falls Dam and its associated recreations sites. No solicitation will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.� The Government will consider responses received by 2:00 PM Pacific Time on 02 December 2020.� Inquiries will only be accepted via email to alex.r.marcinkiewicz@usace.army.mil.� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.�
